PELOTA
The game of Pelota is the national sport of the Basque Country in the North of Spain and the South of France. Pelota is played with a ball against a wall, called frontón . When we traveled trough the Basque Country for the magazine Terra Mater we found a frontón in even the smallest village. The game is an important part of the national identity of the Basque people and more popular with them than football.
